Surely more than that!!!!

I got a HRM and just did a workout...Pierre Pozzuto combat cardio, it's 45 mins long and quite bouncy, my HRM says I burnt only 70 calories! I was pushing quite hard but on the HRM there was another number saying 162...could that be what I burnt? Was I looking at the wrong number?

Have you made all the settings for yourself etc? also, was the HRM keeping track throughout the workout? I've found that mine can lose it's signal depending on the exercise I'm doing, so if you were doing something that caused it to slip of lose contact that might help explain it.

Keep an eye on it the next time you train.

PS, you will become addicted to your HRM when training... I LOVE mine lol

    that does seem low.
Not sure which HRM you have, but some calculate Cals based on distance covered (and age, weight etc)
but i means if you do a home workout, (where you dont travel a large total dist)
it wont give you a proper calorie reading.

That's not right, I'm guessing that your HRM is not set up properly, give the manual another read through

What HRM is it? If it's a strapless one, then you need to ditch it and get one with a strap.

I agree that is way too low. Should burn more than that sitting on the couch. Something is not set up right in your personal data settigns. Take another look at the manual.

Well from what I can see online, it looks like it has a chest strap... but for 12 Euros, It's prob. not the best choice.

I'd return it if you can, and a Polar HRM.. you'll be better off in the long run.

Yeah I second (or third?) getting a Polar. I have the FT4 and I love it. Turns out that MFP was actually underestimating my calories burnt. Seems like most people have the opposite issue. But I keep an eye on my heart rate during my workouts and I think it's pretty accurate according to how hard I am working the exercise. So glad I got it.
