Hi all,

I'm starting the 5:2 today as documented on the Horizon programme.
I've opted for consuming my 500 calories in one main meal - give or take maybe 50 calories for some form of snack if I get desperate.
It's now 13:50 (last food intake was at 21:.00) and I've had 3 black coffee. I'm feeling hungry but not ill... quite enjoying the challenge.
Start weight is 149lbs

Will keep you posted purely on weight loss

Pardon my lack of education on this topic.... I will google it in a min. But are you saying you are going to consume less than 600 calories in a day? Can you workout on that sort of Kcal deficit?

  • Hi!

If you google BBC Horizon Eat, live, fast you will find it on BBC iPlayer.

Breaking fast can cause light diahrrea when your digestive system starts to lubricate itself with the fats that you eat. Try breaking fast with a lemonade, salad, and some fiber to see if that works for you.
  • Thanks for the advice!

Not sure if I could work out in a fasted state.... I am feeling ok when doing nothing but when I'm running around I feel a little light headed...

Perhaps I need to up my Calorie intake on eat days??
