gaining weight?

ive been on this site since june and have not lost but actually gained weight, has this happened to anyone else? I work out doing kickboxing for 5 days a week and stick to my 1,200 calorie goal. I know that during kickboxing you gain muscle but this is just depressing. Im thinking maybe i should change to yoga or pilates so that i dont gain anymore muscle. Also i am on birth control, maybe this is a possibility why im gaining? Help im so stuck and i dont wanna give up!!

    More calories, more protein, and more nutrient dense foods. You are not gaining muscle.

    it's also not the birth control. Though a million people will come here and tell you it happened to them.

    how would more calories help? i had been drinking protein shakes and foods high in protein for about month, bringing fruits and veggies to work with me everday and only continued to gain weight so now what?
