Do compliments reinforce your good behavior?

My #1 Most Powerful Motivator: Your Compliments! .....I have made this my motto: "Your compliments reinforce my good behavior."
Any day I am under my calorie goal and I exrecise is a successful day and worth complimenting. That's why if you added me as your friend, you will see me complimenting your successes! I never realized how motivating it is to have your compliments.
Do compliments motivate you? What other things motivate you?

I just love it when I meet someone I haven't seen for a couple of weeks and they have to look twice to be sure it is me. That's motivation!!0

Any time someone comments on how much weight I've lost, etc, there's a tiny little victory party in my head. It sounds vain, but I like hearing from others that I have accomplished something even they can notice!0

People noticing and commenting on my weight loss has been a huge motivator for me. It's paying off!0
-
Not really. What motivates me most is seeing changes in myself.0

For sure! And, nothing frustrates me more than knowing someone is thinking something nice and then wondering why they don't just say the words. ARGH! I won't make me "let myself go", I swear! :O)0

I think so!0

Hearing a compliment makes me feel like the work I put in is working & yes, it reinforces my good behavior.
Other things that help motivate me ...when someone makes a snarl comment or judges me for eating something healthy like a salad. For example, one time my friends & I went to Carl's Jr for dinner & while they all ordered fries & burgers I ordered a grilled chicken salad. One of my friends snarled & said, "Really Stevie? A salad at a fast food joint?! What's the point?!" ...I knew that my choice was making her feel badly about hers & I know this sounds horrible but it made me feel good! Made me feel like I wasn't letting anyone tear me down. So ...me standing on my own 2 feet and standing for what I believe in no matter what others think -that motivates me.0 -

Yes absolutely!! My husband has been complimenting my *kitten* and legs a lot recently. Hooray for squats

Absolutely! This site has motivated me far beyond I imagined
I feel more driven knowing I have someone going after what I want. What better way than to compliment!!
