Going over on protein and sugars, everyday

I keep going over on both. I see those negative numbers in red and it worries me. I admit I was over on my sugar because I treated myself to half a candy bar yesterday, but all the other days I am still over. I have an occasional can of Pepsi Next, but the sugars are mostly coming from fresh fruit and no sugar added applesauce. Is this a bad thing? I don't see how it is, but I am still wondering. The same with protein. I have 2 left today. 22 came from 3 oz of pork roast for dinner and the rest in the salad I made to take to work: 5 in the parm cheese, 4 in the egg white, and 3 in each the salad and bacos. Yes, I like my Bacos, can't help it. Can someone shed some light on this for me???

There are different schools of thought.
Mine is that MFP set my protein goal too low. I try to eat AT LEAST 1 gram of protein for every pound of lean body mass I have (100 grams a day). I don't worry about my sugars if they're getting in naturally - - - like in fruit.0 -
I have also learned that MFP sets protein and sugar too low. The average (non-diabetic or non-prediabetic) adult is okay to consume about 40 grams of sugar a day. Also take into consideration that natural sugar is not as bad for you as artificial. But too much of even a good thing can be bad.0

It sounds like to me you are eats lots of animal-type foods. They are high in protein, but in many cases high in cholestrol, fat ect.. Just try and reduce them. As for sugars look at where they are coming from. If they are from fruits, ect don't count them as bad, if it's refined sugars like from candy then make some cuts there.0

and also you should .33grams of protein per pound of body mass. Not 1 for 1. So for most women this is around 40-60g a day. I average 50 myself. I don't have any sort of protein issues or any trouble building/maintaining muscle.0

Your dairy is not viewable so the generic advice I would give is don't track sugar. Sugar is part of carbs and if you are measuring carbs, no need to measure sugar. Protien is set fairly low on the default settings on MFP. If that's where your goals are set, I would suggest lowering carbs and upping protein.0
