I'm Such A Geek

Today I bought a copy of The Hunger Games. Instead of just watching it on one of my laptops I am ripping it on my Linux machine, using Handbrake, so I can copy it over and watch it on my Asus Transformer tablet.

I like to relax after a long day of driving by visiting some local pub and I usually carry the tablet with me. If the place is dead, the conversation is boring, or the music really sucks, I pull out the tablet and watch a movie. I imagine that is when and how I will watch this one.

Man, I really am a geek. LOL

You will just become more bored while watching the hunger games.

That's entirely possible. Not everyone likes every movie, and I have heard mixed reviews about this one. That's ok though, either I'll like it or I won't.

I spend a tremendous amount of time in my truck so I have to get out of it and do something whenever I get the chance. Just getting out and walking is good because at least it gets me out of the truck. When I go find a local pub I try to locate one that is a minimum of a half mile walk from where I am parked and usually a mile or more. That way I can combine my entertainment with exercise as I have to walk it both ways.

I went to the pub last friday for the first time in ages. It was a huge disappointment! I got stuck with Andy the dental lab owner who moaned about dentists not paying their bills on time, then geoff the pharmacist moaning about doctors, then emma and her mum moaning about her dad and husband respectively then I had to drive everyone home.

I spent the whole time thinking ''I'd rather be with my RPG group rolling dice and killing things!''
    Yup also nerdy geek.

I was actually surprised by that movie, I was expecting a twighlight movie without sparkly gay vampires. I thought it was a very good movie lol

I have an Asus Tablet as well, and I love it. I wasn't a big fan of the Hunger Games, though. It was a pretty superficial treatment of a rather good book. I hope they put more depth into the second movie.

Yeah it can be a real bummer being around negative people, which is why I try to avoid them.

It was ok. Didn't live up to the hype, but then they rarely do.

Thanks. I like the Transformer well enough, but there are some quality issues I would like to see Asus address, primarily the light leaks around the edge of the screen. For the money it does the job and I really like the keyboard dock adding extra battery life to the tablet.
