Hi all
I am trying to the low carb approach and am having some trouble as I despise veggies (I know, horrible but true...I only like corn and peas and they are no/no's)
For the first 2 weeks I am going to be very strict and have been eating the following
Tuna
Chicken
Turkey (don't eat red meat)
eggs
mayo
cheese
nuts
string beans
whey protein powder
almond milk
Does anyone have any other ideas as to what I can eat?
Links to websites etc?
Also, I'm only on day #3 but after 1 full day I woke up with the WORST skin ever.....
Did this happen to anyone..I thought my skin would look better without all the processed foods/sugar, not worse
Thanks for any tips, insight, advice
Kim

I'm going to be honest--if you don't eat veggies, you won't poop enough. You'll end up feeling bloated very quickly. I have IBS, so I have to actually limit the amount and type of fiber I eat, but with a diet like that, the low amounts of fiber would really do me in. I have had to eat like that from lack of money, and it was unpleasant. I've also done low carb out of choice, and I was eating more vegetables than ever before. It can be a very healthy way of eating, but you have to do it correctly. If you can't bring yourself to eat vegetables, then I'd recommend going back to eating a diet that includes all the macronutrients so you can be sure you're receiving proper nutrition.0

Thanks!
I appreciate your input
I have been drinking TONS of water and herbal tea (8 cups)... and have also been taking flax seed (to help in that dept)0 -
I have to agree that if you're not a fan of vegetables, you won't be able to do a low carb diet in a healthful way. Humans are not made to be carnivores. We're omnivores (or vegetarians depending on the human
). I did Atkins and hated it and couldn't stick with it. I lost some weight eating meat and eggs and cheese and some salad, but it wasn't a long-term solution for me. Try using this site to track calories. I promise that will work and you can make healthier choices of natural whole foods. But whatever you choose, I wish you good luck and good health! :flowerforyou:
