Kidney diet?

So I've just found out that due to my eating disorder I have done some notable damage to my kidneys and liver. Hospital is looking like an option for me at this stage as recommended by a pysch. My main query was after watching Food Matters I'm pretty sure most things can be repaired nutritionally rather than with drugs/medicine... I am vegan so there is some issues I suppose but my main question is has anyone had any results in treating kidney/livers nutritionally? What would you suggest for a recovering vegan anorexic?

Hmm i would not be much help to you but what did your diet mostly consist of while you were in this stage? Did you get no carbs at all? Also, how do you know you have liver & kidney problems like what sorts of symptoms are you having? sorry that I came to to you with more questions than answers0

Very few carbs if any.. No symptoms to note but recent blood work shows it.0

Deep purple/almost black foods really help kidneys. Purple plums, purple potatoes, black quinoa, blackberries, black carrots, black seaweed, black beans, black grapes and black elderberries. I hope this helps. Get enough calories, listen to your doctor and be smart.0

Thankyou for that- I love most of those and I'll be listening for sure. I want to avoid a hospital visit as much as possible so intending to load up on nutrition0
