Am a bit baffled by the calorie content in a snack noodle pot i had today.
It is from Aldi and is a 90g pot and states:
Calories are made as directed -
Per 100g 129 cals
Per pot (which as i said states 90g) 388 cals
???????????????????

I think it means it will weigh more when you add the water?
Add the water and weigh it would be my suggestion. The weight is 90g as sold isn't it?0 -
Yes but water doesn't add calorific value does it. What am i missing?0

I'm not sure, I'll look when I go to town later and see if I can work it out. I've sent a friend request because I'm curious too!0

Based on the info given 10 g would equal 12.9 calories. So you could either multiply 12.9 x 9 or deduct 12.9 from 129 calories. Either way it should come out to 116.1 calories0

Is there a seasoning packet or something else you add to the noodles? Also, are you sure its only a single serving per pot?0

It seems yes the dry powder is 90g but once you add the water it's obviously heavier.
So 100g of the mixture after the water is added is 129 cals but the whole this obviously weighs over 300g so is 388
Talk about confusing!0
