Logging activity: MFP and FitBit help

Hello - my mom recently got a fitbit and we're trying to figure out the whole logging activity portion and syncing with MFP. She logs her activity manually into MFP, however it does NOT appear that her fitbit is doing a cal adjustment for the manual entry. I had read online that you should enter a start time when inputting your activity on MFP - Ummm...where exactly is that? The only entry place I can find for activity is on fitbit dashboard and not sure this is correct. It stinks that there isn't a 'manual' that explains the how-to's of using the two together. When she enters in her activity into MFP (around 600 cals burned) manually she still ends up with an additional fitbit adjustment at the end of the day that is duplicate or close to the #'s she manually entered, thus claiming she's burned that much on top of her original MFP entry. I hope this is making sense. What needs to be corrected so it isn't showing double entries??? I would consider any 'overage' in cals burned acceptable range if it was within a hundredish range, but to be nearly the exact same #'s???? I just don't see how it's possible. I personally use a Bodymediafit armband and track my activity throughout the day - never once have I personally been able to log burning an additionall 500 cals after my workout from daily activity, even on days that I run on top of exercise. Just isn't 'adding up'. Thanks for any help - I did do a community search trying to get answers that way, but just didn't find anything that answered my exact ???'s. Thanks.
