Shopping NSV!!!!!

So, this isn't one of those huge inspirational NSV's, but I absolutely HAD to share!!!!!! I guess I should start by saying that I truthfully hadn't seen the first bit of change, even with a nearly 30lb weight loss. This being the case I was really beginning to feel discouraged. It seems however that even when I couldn't tell a difference my chlothes could. I had gotten to a point where the vast majority of my clothes did not fit, and for the first time in my life it was because they were TOO BIG!!!!! So, of course we all know this meant I had to go shopping! I decided to go to the plus size consignment store that my mother and her friend own and operate. This particular store carries only pant size 16-32 and shirt size XL-5X(in some rare cases large).
These sizes are in numeric order and range from the biggest(being in the widest and most open section of the store) to smallest(being tucked away in a small, long forgotten corner). I had always shopped more toward the middle, looking for size 20-22 pants and 3x tops. I had recently been wearing a pair of jeans that I wore in my senior year of high school that were a size 18, and had noticed that even those were becoming a little loose, so I decided to head for that tiny crammed corner. I reluctantly grabbed 2 pair of 18's thinking that I MIGHT just be able to sqeeze them on, and 2 pair of size 16 jeans, just to see how much further I had to go. I started with the 18's and to my ABSOLUTE SHOCK they were TOO BIG!!!!!!!! I then tried on the 16's and nearly cried when the button buttoned , and the zipper zipped!!!!! They fit comfortably!!!! I know that to many of you being in a size 16 would be all the initiative you needed to lock yourself in the garage with the car running, but this is HUGE for me. I haven't been in a size 16 for in almost 5yrs!!!
I really could not be more appreciative of all the support and motivation that I have found on MFP! I am so proud of everyone who has made this incredible journey, and of those who are taking their first steps. NEVER give up and be thankful for every victory, no matter how big, or small!!!!!!!
Thanks Everyone!!! -Naomi

Naomi, that is awesome! I would have screamed so loud everyone would have thought I ran into a pack of wild grizzlies in that long forgotten corner of the store. You will probably never be able to shop in that store again because soon those 16's will be too big too! I can't wait until I can fit into 'regular' sizes. WTG!0

At my biggest, I've been a 3x top with a 22 bottom. I'm not down to an 18/20 bottom [depending on fit] and a 2x/1x top and I'm not stopping anytime soon! Great NSV for you. Keep up the great work!0
