Going to a party all about food today

I have to go to my husband's work party and really want to because there are very nice people there. However, most are strangers and I am kind of shy. In past years, I've eaten way too much, to the point of feeling HORRIBLE at night. But I'm not doing that today. My main strategy will be to fill my plate with healthy options such as fruit salad, green salad, humus and carrots, and of course I'll have a few treats too, but very few. Eat slowly. Put down plate when done and walk away from the food and go talk to someone or walk outside with someone. And drink lots of flavored seltzer.

That's my plan. I know some say it's fine to splurge once in a while, but that doesn't work so well to me and I feel so great having lost a few pounds. So, see you all later.
