WOW, I'M IMPRESSED!! I'm 241 this morning, down from 250; been on the program 13 days; I'm 72 years old, had a heart attack, almost 2 years ago; Had 2 stents inserted, have arthritis in my back, scoliosis, protruding disk and degenerative disks (everyone over 60 gets that welcome package). Alll these problems give me pain in the right leg that causes a limp. My chiropractor helps a lot. There are days when I have no pain and I look like I walk normally. However, I recently moved and am still lifting and unpacking boxes. If I do too much, the pain returns, and it generally won't subside until I've seen the chiropractor twice. I take no pain medication. My back hurts and if I take pain killers, they mess with my head. So I just put up with the pain and know that my brain is still working.

I'm glad you all aren't waiting until you reach your seventies to start taking weight loss serious!!

I hope to have lost 81 pounds on this program like you have. The fact that you have stuck to it for so many months really inspires me. I haven't been below 225 in 25 years and I've been on every diet I think there is. I've always eaten healthily but in excess. This program has inspired me to eat what I like, not what some diet tells me to eat, and learn to control the amounts. It seems to be working...for 13 days anyway. I actually like going to bed slightly hungry. I pray that I'm still logging on 6 months from now.

A few of us tall ones have compared notes and so far each and every one of us grew up hearing how we "carried our weight well" or some other such thing. The well meaning people who said that to us just gave us permission to get fat and stay fat. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

You've done very well so far and should be pleased with all you've accomplished. Keep up the good work now and enjoy your new self! :flowerforyou:

wow I weight 250 now as well... I wish I was 6' tall then it would look better. You look great. Now if I can only grow 7 inches instead of losing 100 lbs.:laugh:
