Don't feel like eating :S

I'm around 3 days into my diet , aiming for around 1700-2000 calories and today I just dont feel like eating anything. I ate breakfast this morning, with cereal/milk and then snacked on oranges/drank more milk when I felt hungry. I then went to the park and walked for an hour . But then an hour or so later after getting home, I prepared myself lunch and could not finish it properly and left half of it in the fridge. Now I dont even feel like eating anything for dinner as I don't feel hungry ? I may snack on a yoghurt this evening but I don't feel hungry that I need dinner? My calories today are probably at 1000 so far. I am very over-weight at the moment, so would it matter if I lose a lot in the first few weeks as a result but then slowly try and up the calorie amounts .

I have also found that I am not hungry all the time [been on here a month]
You will find mixed opinions on MFP, some, like me, will say don't force yourself to eat if not hungry, others will assure you of hell & eternal fatty damnation if you are a calorie short of your daily goal
My tuppence worth, if you are not hungry, and not metaphorically collapsing in the street from fatigue, then just make sure that what you do eat is healthy, like fresh fruit & veg & not a chip butty0 -
You'll find your appetite but it's up to you to decide if you want to try to eat more calories. Maybe you don't like the food you have, broaden you horizons from cereal and milk. Eating 1000 is going to kill your metabolism, try exercising more? That can make me hungry, especially swimming. You have to do something about it if it bothers you, you can make excuses but it won't magically happen without the work.0

I have days like that, where I barely hit 1200. Then, a few days later, I'll have a day where I have trouble staying under 1800. It's just your body doing its natural thing. Some foods will fill you more, or your brain is really happy and doesn't crave food. It happens.
I say, as long as you aren't super low (like 500), eating 1000 calories for ONE day isn't going to de-rail you or hinder your weight loss. You'll make up for it the next day when you eat 1400 or whatever. Sometimes, it helps to think of calories per week instead of calories per day. That's why I don't freak out if I go over by 100-200 one day; I know I'm going to be low at some point that week.0
