Peptic ulcer?

I think I may have one. Any suggestions if I have; or anything else?
Will be booking a doctors appointment when it's not 6:30AM.
A few weeks ago I started feeling hungry - though not quite - when I went to bed. I am trying to lose weight, so ignored it as that.
A couple of days ago now I had a really bad stomach ache. When it happened again, maybe the new Caesin protein shake I got, I thought.
Yesterday morning it was pretty bad, but I went to do a 10k run anyway (at a proper event).
Bad enough that I made myself puke in the petrol station toilet before hand - didn't really help much, nor did anything out of the other end (none of the usual signs of dodgy guts.)
I bought some food and ate it, then did the run just fine and cycled home the long way (Had eaten more food.) Started to notice it a little.
Woken up at 5:30am or so now by the dog and it was really noticeable. After a bit more research, I went to have some milk (then added cereal), which does seem to have helped.
Not sure where was the right section - this seemed the best fit.
