I am a 48 year old overweight woman who is pretty fit with resting heartrate of around 55. I do interval/strength training around 5 to 6 days a week and consider myself to be pretty fit . But i have hurt my calf muscle and have had to lay of the heavy duty stuff. I still sneak some in though as i dont like to lose my muscle conditioning. Now if i go on a Elliptical Trainer and keep my heart rate at around 130 to 140 bpm is that in the fat burning zone ( i am still new to trying to sort it all out myself)?? Is that good ??? i usually do around 80 minutes on it and burn around 600 calories???

I wouldn't really worry about a certain rate being a "fat burning zone".
Change things up and do some HIIT 1-2 times a week. I had better results from that, and was in and out in half the time that it took me to do steady state cardio.0
