"Once more back into the fray" after cheat day(s)

I'm assuming more 'cheat days' (or 'cheat weekends' ) occur over Friday and Saturday than at any other time of the week. At least, that's where I'm most challenged.

On weekends, I also get more exercise (and I always eat back my calories, btw). So, for those days where I blow it and go over calories, what is the best way to hop back on the wagon on Monday and go "once more into the fray"?

On Monday (or the day after a "cheat day") should I:
A. Keep strict control on caloric intake and keep to my regular exercise schedule (which may not even include that day as a day where I get any)
B. Step up exercise (but make sure to eat back calories but yet not go over)
C. Combination of both

I don't want to go overboard with either one, and I can see myself stepping up the exercise, only to peter out because I have no energy, even if I do eat back all the calories. That said, maybe I'm under/overestimating calories in my workout and it's not an accurate picture of reality.

Any input? Thanks!
