Elevated Push-ups vs Regular

I've googled this question and read through countless articles and forum posts, only to find contradicting answers. I would like to know if elevated push-ups are as useful as regular push-ups. I will usually rest my feet up on an arm chair and place my hands on the ground. I do that because I have a toe injury which can't be operated on for a month or two and it is far too painful to place my bodyweight onto my toe.

AFAIK elevated feet is supposed to make them harder? I'm no push up expert though.0

Of course they are more difficult. Easy way to test this theory is to get a scale. Go regular pushup stance with hands on scale, measure weight. Do same thing with elevated pushup form, measure weight. Compare weights.0
