Macros & boredom

I finally get my macros right, including fiber and sodium, but I feel like I just copy and paste the same diary day after day to keep my macros in check.

Needless to say, I'm a little bored with the same thing day after day.

But whenever I make changes my macros don't add up to the "right" numbers. So I go back to eating the same thing over and over again.

Anyone else have this problem? Advice?

i wouldnt worry about getting your macros 100% every single time. but one thing you can do is switch one protein for another... for example if your supper was:

    4oz chicken
    2 cups broccoli
    1/2 cup brown rice

    try

    4oz lean ground turkey
    2 cups green beans
    100g sweet potato

I had/have the same "problem"...seems like I am always going over in fiber, protein and sugar. After talking with some of my fitness friends I was comforted to hear that MFP calculates protein extremely low and that my high fiber diet is working for me so I should not be concerned. While I am continually over in sugar, it is all from fruit so I try not to focus on it b/c it is natural sugar (prob should be lower but at least it is not from "bad" for me foods).

I focus primarily on staying within my calories...I still focus on the other macros but can not stick to what MFP says for them. If I were you I would focus on staying within your calories and paying attention to sodium and not focus too much on the other macros. This will allow you to not get bored and continue on a healthy path.

It seems to be working for me! Also, working out def increases my protein needs and I am seeing results because I am eating more than I would before on other "diets"...muscles need fuel!
