Its getting ready to open up for registration. The 34th annual Living History Farms Race. Limited to 7500 runner again this year. This race is so big it sells out in 3-5 days.

I ran it last year for the first time. Its an awesome experience. You think the warrior dash and mud runs are fun? This thing is Awesome. 7-8 Creek crossings in the middle of November. Sometimes they are frozen solid sometimes they aren't. Sometimes there is Snow sometimes there is mud.

Its truly an amazing thing to be a apart of and the costumes are fantastic. Plus what race serves you Fresh hot Iowa Beef stew after the race.

If you are near Iowa or live in Iowa you should totally do it!

I will need to keep this in mind for next year, as I haven't gottne very far in my running yet, but sounds fun. Living History Farms is a beautiful area.

You should do it this year. Its not ultra competitive.

Maybe if it was shorter. 7 miles seems very unlikely at this point :) But I will think about it.
