high protein

does anyone do higher proteins then specified. i am still keeping to 1200 cals. a day but my protein is high. and i dont eat wheat. lots of yogurt fruits and veggies.

  • just make sure you drink plenty of water and then some so you dont get kidney stones

    You can eat upwards of 2 g of protein per pound of bodyweight without having any issues, unless you have an underlying condition like kidney stones. It's recommended you eat 0.82g/lb (or .75-1g/lb of lean weight) or something in that neck of the woods. That's how much your body can actually use every day to turn into muscle/repair muscle. The rest will just be used as regular energy.

    I definitely do. I eat upwards of 150g of protein almost every day.

    it is recommended if training/exercising regularly if you want to build muscle to eat around 1g protein per lb of lean body weight. the mfp protein recommendations are low. i eat around 140g per day.
