How the heck do I defrost all this rice?

Okay so I did the good thing at the beginning of the week and made a huge batch of long grain organic brown rice, then I split it up into 3/4 cup portions and popped them in the freezer. I just went to make some lunch and I had a hell of a time defrosting the rice... I tried plopping it in a pan and heating it but it was taking way too long and then was burning to the pan... then I tried the boil in the bag method which kind of worked but the center was still ice cold and I ended up having to microwave it which I'd really like to avoid.
Any advice would be super awesome!
Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:
