Gynecomastia

This is a question for men who have or have had true gynecomastia. Not the gynecomastia that comes naturally from being fat, but the excess breast tissue on men that persists even with a body-fat % >20%. This is something I have struggled with my whole life, and I have been looking for an answer that doesn't involve surgery. Working out has helped to an extent, my pectorals give my chest a more muscular rather than flabby look, but if anyone cares to take a second look, the shape isn't right. I'm not explaining it very well, but if there is anyone out there with a similar affliction, they will know exactly what I am talking about.

I have a friend who had gynecomastia. It improved dramatically once he got below 12% body fat. He elected to still have surgery to remove the tissue, but they looked fine to the rest of us.0

If anyone has suggestions, I'd like to hear them also. I've struggled with the same all of my life. I've explored the surgery route just to see what was involved. Most docs (the plastic surgeons) told me that it was the only option as I just had 'weak skin'.
I'm currently just trying to slim down and trim down and get down to at least a 10% body fat to see if that helps with the retention. If not.. I already know what's involved with the other.0 -
I am not sure 10% body fat will ever be in my future. lol. I work out regularly, weigh 199, am 5'10, and currently have around 24% bf. I feel like to get to less than 17 or so I would have to weigh so little that I would just look disporportionate.0
