    Bouldering. The ONLY exercise I like.

    unless it's the obvious, what is that?

    Indoor wall climbing without any ropes.

    EDIT: Can be done outdoors on actual rocks/boulders, but I'm neither that proficient or brave yet!

    Walking with friends is great. We used to go for coffee and meals. Now we walk and talk and feel great.

    Golf, definitely. I like to run, bike, walk, swim, etc, but I do those things with the intent to burn calories. I like to walk a golf course, pulling my clubs, and the burn is an added bonus.

    We also went canoeing once this summer...that's one I'd like to do more. A great way to soak up the sun, enjoy the outdoors, spend time with my boyfriend, and as I found out the next day....an awesome arm workout. So sore.

    Ok, well recreational exercise is definitely not the same as recreational leisure that ends in TV watching and nodding off....... :laugh:


    So, I have to go with soccer or basketball, but I haven't played much of either in years. I also enjoy tennis. I am teaching my daughter to play it as well.

    Hiking, canoeing, skiing (x-country and downhill), long leisurely bike rides.

    Honestly these are my real motivation to get fit! I want to be able to do these things more! I don't want to have to rediscover my thigh muscles every ski season!!
