Ok, I worked out for an hour today on my boyfriend's elliptical on resistance:9, the highest is 10. It said that i burned 936 calories and 292 fat calories. Which one do I count in my workout section? It doesnt seem right that I burned only 296 in that long of time. My friend sarah's elliptical doesn't even have fat calories, so she said that you don't count those into your workout, you count the regular calores, which are usually the higher number on the elliptical.

anyone know?

That means you burnt 936 cals, 292 of which were from fat. Just like on food labels. Different intensities of aerobic activity yield different ratios of glucose:fat use as energy.
