I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we all wrote down the small, positive changes we made (or big positive changes!)

For example

When i last went out for coffee with my hubby, i got a skinny latte and didnt eat any of the cake he bought to share with my son, i usually would have had a cake to myself!

I went out on Sunday for a bbq with friends and although i managed to eat massive amounts of meat and a couple of slices of cake, I did not eat the leftovers the next day and i made hubby take all sugary drinks and bad food to work with him and dispose of it!

Last night i did not eat the meat with my dinner, i just had veggie, rice and eggs.

Today i went and got Gas n Electric from the shop. I did not buy a kitkat despite them being right next to me and i am in LOVE with kitkats.

Today i have had two cups of green tea instead of sugary normalitea

good positive small steps :)

    good positive small steps :)

One step at a time and you (we) will get there.

Nice to have a positive out look rather than looking at it like you are depriving yourself! :)

Feel free to add (and message) me if you need a friend/support

Ooooh I like this idea! :-)

Last night I did not have a cuppa tea and a chocolate bar even though I had calories left for it...decided I didnt want it!

On Sunday I got in my car to go to McDonalds and drove right past, went to Tesco and bought ingredients for steak and baked potato instead!

On Saturday I bought some cupcakes to share with my family who were visiting and I halfed one with my grandma...the idea of only having half a cupcake before would have been insane...I felt satisfied and not craving another afterwards!

I'm really learning to love exercising...ran for 3 whole minutes without stopping last night...twice!! With the C25K program, I've not done that since school! Feeling great and actually I can honestly say I'm looking forward to my next run!!

Well done on your positive steps...they soon add up to HUGE changes :-) xxx

Yay lady's you sound like your doing really well :)

I cannot WAIT to start running again, but my baby boy needs me for the moment so it will probably be the spring when iu get enough sleep to be getting up early enough to go out.

I am however starting bellydance classes next week :D And I am going to take up Zumba too :)

Mind you, running around after a busy husband, a 3 week old and a 2 year old have certainly kept me on my toes this week!
  • I love these NSV (Non scale victories) !!

Same here, my hubby offered me a piece of his cookie and I simply said no, cause I wasn't hungry....I couldn't believe how simple it was! When I see that I am reaching my maximum for my calories, I simply make better choices.
I don't eat dessert if I'm full (before I would rush through supper just to get to the sweet part!
