Has anyone seen this movie?
I just finished watching it for the first time. It made me... hungry. It also made me feel that I had consumed a year's worth of butter just by watching it.
I'm going to go eat a carrot now....

I love that movie!!!!! I know I totally wanted to eat all the desserts that they were making but still really cute movie. The butter was gross to me cause I don't like butter unless its cooked in something or baked or whatever... Enjoy your carrot!

That movie is nothing short of food porn!
I dusted off the cookbook and made her beef burgundy (can't spell it in french right now) immediately. Heavenly! (but my system went "what the what?" and rebelled.) Although, since it involved almost two hours of kitchen work, surely I burned some of it off!0 -
I thought it was really cute, and have no desire to ever try the aspecs! LOL0

That would be the chapter I'd skip! The rest looks delicious!0 -
I really liked the movie too. I read a little bit about the real life Julie and found out she has a new book out, which is not too popular where she talks about her and her husband cheating on each other. She is now also into butchering meat.
The only thing I question about the movie is that Julia child did not want to meet Julie when she had a chance.
Also, the real-life Julie said that the movie was a romantic comedy version of her life.
I liked it though0 -

I just saw it, and I was tempted to go out and buy a Le Creuset and throw a boeuf bourguinon in the oven!! Too bad the pot is about $200, and the filet is equally expensive. Oh well, a girl can dream!!0
