Arrrgg....Since getting back to work after summer break I cannot believe how busy things are. I was doing ok, but now I noticed my calorie count is either in the negatives or very very low, I'm starting to feel it too. Very weary, so much stress I have zero appetite, and having such a hard time with my workouts due to being dizzy. I know I need to eat, I know, but what can I do? Should I force it? Or let it ride and wait til things get more "normal"? Oh geez, just kick my butt will you?

Try and keep some form of protien at your desk so you can eat a bit by bit throughout the day. Maybe a protien bar or a shake cause you're drinking it and not eating so it's easier to get what you need that way. Hope everything gets better0

If its quantity of food you cant handle then make sure what you do eat is nutritious and high calorie. Protein shakes are great, nuts, semi skimmed milk, oatmeal, chicken, salmon etc etc. You can eat small meals and get the calories in, if need be eat 6 or 7 times a day rather than the routine 3 meals0

It's not unusual to have a diminished appetite when calorie intake is low. It's not necessarily an indication that your body doesn't need more food, and weariness and dizziness are definitely signs that you need to eat more. You don't have to force yourself to eat to the point of discomfort, but gradually add more calories each day until you get to your goal. Eat things that are calorie dense so you don't feel like you're stuffing yourself - cheese, nuts, seeds, avocados, full fat dairy instead of low fat or "light" options, add healthy oils to salads or cooking. Also, you can drink your calories - milk, smoothies, protein shakes etc. It might take a bit of effort to get back to a good level of calories, but hopefully you'll soon find that your appetite returns.0
