Back again...aiming for success of last time

I know I MUST do this myself. I just wish I had some sincere inner motivation, encouragement, and confidence to do this!!! I was on here last year about this time for 3 months and lost 40 lbs. This time I wanna COMPLETE the journey, not just start it!!! My goal is to truly get this kicked. I need to learn to change things for good and not just "diet". I need to change my diet to a lifetime healthy way of eating. For me it is not as much how much I eat, it is what I eat (processed foods, fast foods, the high calorie convenient things). My first weightloss goal is 61 lbs. That will put me at the weight I was when I got pregnant with my first daughter back in 1995 (havent been close to that since ) My actual goal though would be to lose 125 lbs. Looking for other to share the experience!

It sounds like you already have your priorities in order! You've realized that this isn't just a short term change but a long term lifestyle change. If you keep that in mind and realize that your health is more important than being lazy or eating high calorie foods, you'll be well on your way.

Thanks davidpm. Yes my health is more important. Now to take all the knowledge and apply it. (Wow, what a concept!....yes, said with sarcasm! It is the basic of life that is so often ignored! And I am a prime guilty example!)0

"Sincere inner motivation". May I have some, too? I visualize my slim and healthy self. I've read every book and watched every show. I know that I KNOW what to do, but my heart isn't in it. Along with my body, I need to exercise my willpower muscle.0

One idea: Act "as if" you have that inner motivation and committment and it will come. Also reading the message boards is a source of motivation for me. If others can figure out a way to live a healthy life and take good care of themselves, then I also am able. Ani0
