Heard this on KLOVE a few days ago and thought it was super interesting. That may be why I see joggers that are still pretty heavy but they are doing great running.

The information was about being fit, building muscle before the fat comes off so a person can be in a good metabolic state, something like that they said, but still have a lot of fat. It will come off eventually because of their focus on fitness not just losing fat. This just backed up what I believe already. I mean the scale isn't moving much for me at all but the muscle is firming up and even growing but my pants are still not fitting:laugh:

I guess it really is healthy, imo, to focus on building muscle rather than the scale and measuring body fat %. Many people don't believe that and they are doing what they feel works best for them.

Another thing I've heard a lot lately about after age 40 is that we lose muscle, I think it was like 8% per year?? That could be wrong. But I am going to be researching more on once losing muscle, how hard and how long does it take to build it back. I did hear no matter our age, we can build muscle back, how much, I don't know.

Just thought it was interesting, especially about how fit a person can actually be but still have excess body fat. That's good news for our hearts and other things that are improving from fitness. There are things that are not improved unless we lose fat but I can't remember what those were now. Maybe someone else knows??

Thanks all and have a great day!! denise:drinker: :drinker:
PS Also, I wanted to say I think the fitter we are the more fat stores we will hit and hit hard, yeehaw!!
