Building muscle vs. losing pounds

Dieting has been a way of life for me. However, fitness is a new element and I am trying soooo hard. I have exercised every day for the last two weeks and my clothes are looser but I am not losing pounds yet. I am very happy with this but wondering how long it takes to build muscle up and start losing pounds?

Take your focus off the scale when you are building muscle. This past summer I dropped 2 pant sizes in about 3 weeks and only lost a few pounds. After the 10 week class I was doing, I only dropped 17lbs, but several inches and 2 more pant sizes. Also eating protein and balance carbs will help out a lot. Don't give up strength training because you don't see a difference on the scale, you will see changes sooner than you think. Take a before and after picture every 10 weeks or less and you will be astonished in your changes if you stick to it.0
