Office win!

I just walked past the fresh-baked cookies put out by our receptionist!!!!

I had just finished drinking a lot of water, and of course went to the bathroom, and on the way back to my desk - BAM! :noway: - there they were! Just sitting there, all fresh, hot, and delicious, begging to be eaten! I could smell them coming around the corner! I'll admit, I meandered over to the tray...but then decided my tummy was still a little too full of water (I had been chugging slightly :drinker: ) so I decided NOT TO EAT A COOKIE! :glasses: Oh yeah!

Anyone else have a good win today, office or otherwise?

My win is the same one I have every day. I avoid getting in the car, driving to the store, and buying a huge bag of Fritos Corn Chips! Good grief! I quit smoking 13 days ago and have fewer cravings for cigarettes than I have for the Fritos.

Anyway, congrats on passing up the office goodies. I think we would all be thin if we just didn't go to work!

AWESOME! YAY! I was tempted with icecream (birthday cake flavor...my favorite icecream) and I turned it down for some nonfat yogurt :)
Yesterday I turned down cookie dough (My all time favorite)

That's awesome. I can walk past a closed container, but if I can smell 'em, I"m doomed.
  • I went to Westfield's shopping centre today, there was temptations galore there. They were cooking pretzels & offering samples to people as they went by, cakes on display & chocolate at the tills when I went to pay. I was very good & resisted it all & I got some exercise as well going around the shopping centre.

I walked into my bosses office grabbed the lid to the red vine container and put it right back headed up to my office and pouted a little:frown: but all in all am pretty proud of myself!

    Nice job OP!

I won an automated candy dispenser at an office lunch about 5 weeks ago :noway: My coworkers have kept it filled with M&Ms and I get LOTS of visitors in my cubicle every day. In those 5 weeks, I have eaten only about 25 M&Ms  WIN!! (Seriously, I almost can't believe it's sitting RIGHT THERE and I have resisted, unless candy 'fits' that day).

that's great! I have been having a small win.. I work with mostly men. THere's one woman, who knows i'm dieting and tells me i'm looking thinner. I mentioned today that I need to lose another 60 and she laughed and said that's ridiculous... I'd be way too thin. The truth is, I'd still be overweight.

the guys in my office have started to notice too but i think they don't realize i'm thinner, they just realize I'm not as fat as they thought I was. lol
  • I work in a department that believes in Dunkin' Donuts and muffins as a reward or celebration. I think the one thing that saves me from grabbing this junk is the fact that I go to the gym in the morning before work. I bust my butt at the gym way too hard to waste it on empty calories.

I also see how it undermines the people in my department who are trying to stick to their Weight Watcher diets. They sit behind me and complain for the rest of the day how many points they have eaten.

I just remember how hard I have worked to get to this point, and it makes me feel good when I can walk by this stuff and not want to eat any of it. At the end of the day, I am proud of myself.

I missed breakfast today and was so close to stopping at McDonalds for a sausage mcmuffin. I thought about my progress and drove right past it! Thank God for willpower!!!
