Hey all. I need some motivation. I moved from Raleigh NC to Nashville TN 2 years ago where I knew no one. I started going out to bars all the time to meet people and lets just say that routine has stuck over the past 2 years. I want to get back in shape and eat healthy again. I've gained 15-20lbs in the last 2 years and I want those gone. I joined MFP a couple of months ago and never stuck with it but I'm hoping to stay on track this time. Any motivational support would be great.

I totally know how the whole bar thing is! We live right downtown Nashville and its just so convenient. I'm not sure where you live, but I like doing the C25K runs downtown. Its a whole different place in the morning or on weekday nights without all of the tourists. It feels great to be exploring the city and exercising at the same time. As for the drinking, I try to limit myself to only the weekends when I am on plan. It gives me something to look forward to and stops me from pouring my usual(ly huge) glass of wine every night.0

I know how you feel! I moved to here in Nashville from Cali about two weeks ago!! I gained about 20 lbs after the first year, but luckily i found MFP and I was able to drop the 20 i gained, plus 10 more! All this southern BBQ food is not the best for the waistline, but it does taste great! I look forward to keeping each other motivated!0
