The only unflavored protein powder was at GNC, but it was much more expensive than the Body Fortress brand that I normally get. Less protein per scoop too, if I remember right. I want to be able to use it in smoothies especially (vanilla powder is usually yucky and too sweet). I may also add it in small amounts to muffins, cakes, soups, etc. Any ideas here would be appreciated too.

I buy mine in the bulk bins at a local market called Sprouts. But I've seen it at places like Whole Foods as well. They have soy and whey options available. They're just plain, no flavor, no other ingredients and are usually around $7 a pound for one and $11 a pound for the other. (I think the Soy is the cheaper of the two)

I use it in home made protein bars and have also mixed it in oatmeal as well as the occasional baked good. No one I've ever served the oatmeal (made a giant batch for my entire team at work once) or the baked goods to have ever noticed that there was anything other than traditional ingredients in them.
  • I buy the 15 g Nutiva Organic Hemp one. 90 calories (3 tablespoons.) 40% daily iron too. It's pricey in the health food stores but I buy the 3 pound bag on Vitacost to save $$.

Edited to add, oops. I red "plain" as "plant." Carry on. ;)
