Check out this article, there may be a reason behind ones struggle in weight loss simply because of foods you eat that your body can't process and acts like poison to you.

Sorry, do a little reading and you'll find that the "blood type" diet is unscientific nonsense.

"Medical experts universally agree that the theory is nonsense, and say there is absolutely no link between our blood group and the diet we eat. Consequently you won’t find qualified nutritionists or dietitians recommending this diet."

  • Yeah, this one holds about as much water as an Eye Color Diet.
  • I read the blurb of the book and it said I should be vegetarian, almost vegan. I don't think I could do that.
  • Yeah same here I just wanted people's opinion and if it worked for anyone after reading about it I was just curious.

I'm a paleo myself and lost 50lbs since I converted to that way of eating.

Agreed. Life without bacon or Oreos is not a life I'd want.

Really! I hope you did not buy her book. Eat food hi in nutrition and you will be fine. Eat junk well you figure that one out!
  • Nope didn't plan on buying the book.

I eat a non processed food diet consisting of lean meats and lots of vegetables, gluten free life style.

I'm allergic to all the tasty food haha sucks.

    No potatoes, wheat, corn,

Very good choice. I am also primal/paleo.

Are you having trouble eating enough calories a day? I feel like I eat a lot but I still net dramatically low.

I have to add good fats to get my calories up, Coconut oil, MCT oil, avocado's, unsalted kerrygold butter, and olive oil help a lot. My favorite is my bulletproof coffee, bacon and eggs. Good thing about paleo you can eat a lot of whole food and not get killed on calories.

  • Hi there. Yes I did try this diet and had great success in weight loss and energy levels. I was no longer tired nor sluggish during the day. Bloating was gone within days, headaches went away, I was clear of mind, calm and peaceful. However, in saying all that I only lasted 8 weeks as the food I was eating wasn't readily available from our little supermarket anymore after downsizing and therefore had to order a great deal online.

For example, as an O type I was to take out all wheat products, I was however able to replace with other grains like black, red, basmati rice, quinoa grain, spelt flour, buckwheat...just to name a few. I replaced milk with almond or rice milk . I could still eat bread or muffins, etc if I had the substituted flour to make it.
My hubby tried it with me and he had great energy level increases and reduction in fatigue also, which was a great improvement and in itself a fantastic success as he has been a shift worker for over 25 years...imagine his fatigue!!!

I will try this diet again when we move to an area that is easily accessible to what I need. In the meantime I am still using the basic principles and also this site to great benefit and still ordering what I can online.

The interesting thing about the first few weeks of this diet was the week I ran out of green tea and had a black tea...well I am not kidding that within 30 minutes I had the fiercest headache ever. Laugh if you want but a few weeks later I tried it again to see what would happen...yep, HEADACHE!!! I found this incredible as I have always been a black tea drinker and can say now that it was possibly the black tea that resulted in many of my headaches.

The day I had two pieces of wholemeal bread because I felt like it, I was all bloated the next morning.

Another funny thing was that I could never eat eggs as they made me feel really sick, well sure enough a few weeks in and I was craving eggs...so I ate them. OMG I didn't feel sick. I eat eggs now.

The key to the whole concept is that there are certain foods each of us uniquely need for our bodies as each blood group creates different chemicals within ourselves. The foods that are designated as limited to us doesn't mean we cannot eat them, it means we need to greatly limit their intake.

I never bothered with their recipes too much but re altered what I was having and used other alternatives, and that was fun to do.

I know their hasnt been any scientific proof but what does that mean anyway. Look at all the foods, chemicals that we have happily been consuming for years which are now so called bad for us or have a proven link to cancer, etc.

All I know is that I started the diet out of curiosity as heard about a few people who had started it due to disease and cancer. They had great success so I thought I would try it. My success was measurable and noticeable in those around me. Now that I am consuming foods not on my list I am once again fatigued and have headaches. So in my opinion YES IT DOES WORK and I cannot wait to begin again

    Just saying.......
