Finally getting back to the Gym after ACL reconstruction!!!

After 5 months (months!) of pre-surgery PT, surgery, and post-surgery PT, I'm finally feeling strong enough to start lifting again.
I'm even braving the spinning class next week. It's taken me 11 weeks since my surgery (20 weeks since my injury) to get those pedals around. But round and round they are going, and going, and going! I don't care if I just sit there and spin with no resistance; I'm going spinnin'!!!!!!
Squats and lunges and pushups, Oh My!
Anyway, even though my range of motion is not fully back yet and pain is my new BFF, I needed to write it up here, as nobody around me can truly understand how f*ucking depressing it's been these past few months. A life with no GYM is SAD and BORING!!!
Yay!
Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to sweat-my-*kitten*-off I go....*skipping---erm, more like hobbling off into the sunset*

That is great! I am currently where you were 5 months ago Just curious, as I'm still undecided, what kind of graft did you go with?0

I DO understand! I had both knees replaced this past winter, 5 weeks apart, so I was out of work from mid-Jan through mid-April. I can finally spin without any pain at all.
Good for you both!0 -

I can understand, man. I went through the same thing about 20 years ago. Take it easy to start and work your way up. Good luck.0
