My finger nails are purple.

It's been happening this whole last week including today. Is this normal? I do drink a lot of water everyday and it's always cold water.

    You mean the nail beds are sort of lavender instead of pink, right?

    This happens to me when I am chilled. Basically, it's an issue with circulation.

    If you're a chronic undereater, it can happen because of slowed metabolism as well. Hyperthyroid folks also sometimes see this as a symptom.

    Do you have any breathing problems? If so I'd call your doc, as bluish nail beds can also be a sign of cyanosis.

    No breathing problems at all. Yes, it's that color. And I do tend to undereat. Hmmmm.
