Using that mental middle digit

You know I find that some days I really need to restrain myself from actually using my poor middle digit to express myself. For example this evening. I finished in the gym, I am hot, wet and sweaty and just want to go home for shower....but I need to make a stop at the local walgreens to pick up a prescription. I opt to go in the store with wet hair and looking like a Mack truck has hit me. I walk back to the pharmacy and no one is around....I wait...one min...can see staff in big mirror...two min....finally at three...one acknowledges I am there and says will be with you in a min.

Okaaaaaay....one min, two min, three min..finally she comes to register I give my name saying I am picking up. Of course I had another item that needed to be rung up too. But no big deal? She proceeds to log into register only to tell me oh no it is frozen up? So then she says she will have to use another register over by the drive through...

So ok not a problem until the pharmacist comes over and both are fixated on trying to solve the frozen register. So now both of them are bent of fixing the problem instead of letting me be on my way. So I grit my teeth and say um could you ring me up on the other register? Well then it was like oh yeah got to ring me up...duh...long wait short story it only took me 20 min for a 10.00 purchase in a place with no one else in line....did that finger want to jump up and slap someone?

You bet

Frustrating! Especially since you were tired and sweaty from working out. Good job resisting the urge to be mean. It's so hard to be on our best behavior when we are feeling far from our best at that moment. I have worked with the public for years so I see both sides. Good job
