One Pound a Week?

I'm now in my third week of counting calories with MFP and am finding it fantastic. Successful too, even though it's still early days. When I set my goals I went for the 1 pound a week option and now I'm curious as to whether others have actually lost that 1 pound a week over a decent length of time, or whether it ends up being more or less as time goes on. Or does it just depend on factors like exercise, water consumption, and the actual number of calories you're eating?

Some weeks are more, some less. Some I gain. Depends on hormones, sodium, general health, bowel movements...you name it, it can affect the weekly weigh in. As long as the figure is gradually going in the right direction overall I'm not loosing faith.0

I had my settings to lose 1 pound per week and I didn't lose anything for a month. I changed my settings to 1/2 pound per week, since I'm in no hurry, and thats when I started losing.
Its been slow going, but its happening.0
