Bored Munching

As someone who is working to lose weight and constantly failing, I have started to create little tricks for myself to remind my brain of what goal I am trying to accomplish. Notes on my water bottle that is constantly with me, post-its on my computer screen, only having small snacks around, that kind of thing.
Anybody else have this issue? Found any good tricks that work for you to get those bored munchie cravings gone?

I need to keep my hands busy so I learned how to knit on youtube. Also, I brush my teeth after dinner because I am a lot less likely to snack after I brushed my teeth for the night.0

I glance at before pictures that help to remind me of where I came from and where I don't want to return..0

I really struggle with snacking at work when I'm sat in the office for the day - I take in healthy things to munch on, but always end up eating them really early on in the day.
I am trying to drink water when I start getting tempted now & try and spread the 'fun' jobs I have to do through the day so if I feel myself reaching for the biscuit tin just for the the sake of it I can distract myself!0 -

I have that same problem. When I'm at work and have already accomplished most of the days work I eat so I'm not "bored". I've really had to be the voice in the back of my head saying no you don't need that or you can wait till lunch.0

Yeah, get used to drinking black coffee or tea when you're getting munchie cravings.0 -
Those are some great tips! Never thought of the brushing my teeth thing, I will have to use this for during the day as well. I use this to track my calories so I know I'm not starving myself, I just need to keep a mindful watch of my snacking habits.
I have also been told by people in my office that if I feel like munching, drink a few glugs of water then wait five minutes. If you are still hungry after that, you are hungry. Apparently a large percentage of Americans can't tell the difference between being hungry and being thirsty.
Thanks for all the tips, hope to read more!0
