.....And I'm not ashamed to say it!!!! I've earned it. I've lost 22 lbs today since starting July 1st and I'm down from 242 to 220 a smidge away from 219, so yes, I deserve one treat today.

Are you sure? Having to proclaim it and justify it with your weight loss to date (and a sincere congratulations by the way) would indicate that you do, in fact, feel guilty about it.
Just an observation...0 -
I think she's just sharing her great news and telling us how she's going to celebrate it.

I don't give myself a "cheat" day so this is my one way to give myself a hi-5! :blushing:0 -
Savor it. I am a sucker for maple sugar candy and its only out in fall. Cannot wait for that bliss to dissolve on my tongue. Yummy!!!!!0

LOL. If only that were possible. And thank you!0 -
i am learning that we should never deprive ourselves, its okay to have a 'treat' now and again. we should however, not reward ourselves with food.
have your chocolate (don't over do) because its a delicious treat, but REWARD yourself with a new blouse, a mani/pedi or something that is a true reward and reflection of your hard work.
congrats on your loss and keep up the good work girl!!0 -
Going to an expensive chocolate store where you can buy one chocolate is a great way to treat yourself on that very rare occasion. You don't go overboard because, really, who can afford to! Savour every nibble!0

Oh forgot to mention, I also upgraded my cellphone to the Galaxy II so that was another REWARD I gave myself recently after hitting 20 lbs lost0 -
Though I don't understand your logic, I like the idea of rewarding yourself.0

Congrats!!
Rewards come in all shapes, sizes and forms, this sounds like a yummy one to me and you deserve it! x0 -
Congrats! I love the Gran Marnier truffles. If you're doing everything else right you can always afford an occasional treat.0
