Whether or not you suffer from divertiulosis, are on a low carb diet, or just have occasional irregularity, it is always a good idea to keep up the fiber. Here are my suggestions based on what helps me in the fight to "go" regularly.

1. Drink lots and lots of water.
2. Limit caffeine.
3. Take benefiber (psyllium husk powder) every day. I put mine in my morning coffee or breakfast protein shake.
4. Take a probiotic capsule. Phillips colon health is a good one.
5. Eat Dannon Activia light yogurt several times a week.
6. Take a walk on the wild side. Eat lots of wild and ancient grains (Quinoa, spelt, wild rice, teff, etc.), beans, whole fruit (with the peel, and seeds.
7. Chia seeds--if you can stand them--they work best added to cereal.

Good luck, and if you follow these recommendations, I hope you either have a very good commode, a handy plunger, or do your business somewhere there's a commercial toilet.
