Zombie Apocalypse

If it happened at work?
1: Call wife and get her to grab the "B" bags and meet me at the Toy Store (I have a stand alone garage in an industrial park about 15 miles from home. Built to withstand a CAT 5 Hurricane)
2: Drive myself towards the toy store however, make a pit stop at Gander Mountian. Since we are in a SHTF situation, I don't care about robbing the place so I will grab a few 12 gauges, a few AR-15's, a few 9MM pistols, a few compound bows, and all of the ammunition for all weapons that I can fit in whatever vehicle I have at the time.
3: Meet at the toy store and both vehicles go in the garage. Set up a hasty defensive perimiter, get the food sorted out (I have an absolute TON of water, rice, and beans at the toy store already), and adopt a "wait and see" mentality.
Unfortunitally, it is not only zombies I need to worry about. It is other survivors who might want my stuff.
You sir, win. Sadly, that's the worst thing, it's not just about zombies in that situation. It's about the other survivors, that's why I rather have a small group. Less diplomatic worries and less to cover. The bigger the group, the bigger the problems that will come. And to take on new people really can cause issues especially if they think they're the leader.
But your idea rocks, and your plan, and the fact you're already set!0 -

The obvious biggest challange is getting TO the toy store. Once there, I can hold out for at least a few months.
If the "Bad guys" decide to attack, hopefully I will show myself to be too much of a pain to bother with.
One problem I have is I don't have access to the roof so I don't have a good sniper position.0 -

I get my zombie preparedness kit out. i kid you not, i have a contengency plan. determine mileage from me, traffic from there inro my area. we have over 100 gallons of useable gas tanks that will be filled and fortifications that will be made to my house. We'll clean, inspect, and load our guns and begin filling drinkable water recepticals. Depending on the severity of the outbreak and its proximity to us, i can safely continue to manage my garden on addition to stockpiling food.
really, crazy as it sounds, the three people living in my house have been stocking useful items for years. we need bug out bags if we have to leave, but we have enough silent and emergency weapons to hold this place down until it collapses.
Think of it this way though: youd be stupid to break into my house and hurricane season/power outages dont make us blink.
And we're all in agreement; you get bitten or scratched and you get ONE goodbye before you get one to the head. So try not to get hurt.0 -

I'm pretty sure I'm prepared. In the trunk of my car, I have a hula hoop, shinai, practice saber, and a boot I wore when I broke my ankle.0

The CDC has a Zombie preparedness comic (pardon me, graphic novel) with tips on how to be prepared. Not surprisingly it is encouraging the same steps for earthquake, pandemic and flood.
Check it out:

If I'm at work, fight my way home. If I'm at home, stay there; the roads will be too crowded.
1) Remove supplies (AR-15, bullets...lots of bullets, shot gun, tactical vest) from my patrol car trunk
2) Open safe and remove other AR-15, hunting rifles, handguns and bullets...lots of bullets
3) Rescue family from school and/or work if necessary
4) Barricade home
5) My wife and kids know how to shoot so they all get a gun and bullets...lots of bullets
6) LET THE GAMES BEGIN0
