Anyone been to Bulgaria?!

Me and my boyfriend are off to Bulgaria next year with his family, has anyone ever been there?! What's it like?
Any information at all would be helpful, we're going in August :smile:

    I like to visit, but other people tend to stay away from my bulge area. :'(

    Yep we have been a few times. It is really nice but the towns are very old soviet style. The `natives are friendly lol` Where abouts are you going to stay?

    We have stayed at Golden Sands and Sunny Bay

    the food is cheap, but undercooked, the drinks are plentiful and everything has got a little more expensive over the last 5 years.

    I think it is like Spain used to be about 20 years ago.

    There are a lot of pickpockets around small towns etc. but mostly people are nice
