Nearing goal = loss of motivation :(

As I've been losing weight I've always had dates to set my goals for, things I wanted to looked good for vacation, class reunion etc. Well in the last year and a half I've lost almost 75 lbs i really only have 15 or so lbs until I've reached my goal. The problem is I don't have any special dates to set my goals for and those were BIG motivators for me. Now that it's getting cooler out I just want to curl up on the couch because I know I don't have any big events coming up to look good for.
It may be the most vain reason to lose weight but I've always been very self concious and knowing people who I haven't seen me in awhile are going to see me now makes me feel really good and proud of myself.
What do you do when you lose motivation?

YOU ARE WAY TO CLOSE TO YOUR GOAL TO GIVE UP NOW......why don't you make up a "special" event....getting that special holiday outfit - looking amazing on New Year's Eve...anything that will keep you motivated. You can do it. I'm just beginning this long journey and I look towards people like yourself you have been so incredibly successful. Put a before picture on your fridge and one of yourself today 75 lbs. lighter. DON'T GIVE UP YOU'VE COME TOOOOO FAR!!!!!0

I sign up for an event (5k, 10k, triathlon, half-marathon....) and set my goal to train for that. Once I complete it, I set a goal to improve my time. Personally I find having something to train for really helps with my motivation, and it just feels better than focusing on a number on the scale.
Or buy something you really like, in a size smaller than you are, and motivate yourself to fit into it.0 -
Why dont you have an event yourself? Like a goal party? Get your friends together, get a hot new outfit and go for a night on the town! You have a lot to celebrate and be proud of, you have come along way and you should celebrate your success!!0

Find out what is stopping you. Maybe there is a fear of succeeding and reaching your goal? What will this mean for you? Will it mean that you won't be spending lots of time on yourself? That you might need to find something new to do? What discomfort might it cause you? Figure out what it is. Face your fear by talking yourself out off that fear (maybe with positive affirmations that are opposite to whatever it might be that is stopping you) and then GO FOR IT! You rock!! :drinker:0
