Fitness Routine Help Needed

Hi everyone,

I am looking to develop a good fitness routine to keep me motivated. I am looking for this to include cardio and weights. I currently mainly just run on the treadmill for 45min doing interval training usually consisting of:

Walking to warm up for 4 mins
Running at 6.9 - 7.9 for two minutes (there is the variation in speed because my treadmill likes to change speeds while I am running lol so I set it for 6.9 but it usually decides that is not as fast as I should be running)
Walking at 4.1 for one min
Running at 7.0 - 8.0 for two minutes
Walking at 4.1 for one min
and continuing this up to 7.5 - 8.4 and then reducing the speed again in the same sequence

This is a good and hard workout, but one that I dread doing and can get boring. I also do not do as much weight and resistance exercises as I feel that I should.

I am looking for any tips or fitness routines that other people follow that they might be willing to share. I am especially interested in what kind of weight lifting/resistance workouts others do, including # of reps and sets.

    I don't treadmil... I hate them... I walk/bike/hike/mountain bike/mountain climb... outside... works better for me

    I also downloaded a program on my phone called jefit... I used it to d/l sample weight work outs... at first I just used the basic beginners workout... after I figured out what I was doing and that I liked the gym I tweaked it to be more personalized to what I was looking for (namely exercises that would make my outside workouts easier/more fun)
