The CR500 diet?

I was just on facebook and noticed one of my good friends posted something about starting the "CR500 diet". I looked it up and it sounds like you're only supposed to eat 500 calories a day. Am I wrong? And should I say something to her? I don't want her to starve herself...

Any and all input on the topic is appreciated.

My view will probably get me in a lot of "hot water", but I would let her start it before I said anything. That is my opinion.
If, you find that she is losing a lot of weight too quickly, then ask about what the CR500 is?

Give her a safe area to talk about it and her feelings to you. If she thinks you are against it and upset, she will tell you nothing.

Maybe, what could happen is that she tries it for 2 days and hates it (too restrictive) and never does it again.

    I hope this helps.

I obviously need to go to sleep, I read this as "The C3PO diet" and I was trying to figure out how a Star Wars diet would work...

I agree with the above poster; let her give it a shot, chances are she'll not be able to keep it up for long (I always seem to have a friend starting a diet here or there and a week later they're back eating bacon cheeseburgers... which is unhealthy in its own way, but whatever). She's an adult so I'd just keep an eye on her passively, if she asks for advice or help though then I think you'd be in the right to express your concerns.
