I was just wondering, since my MFP profile is set up as Sedentary lifestyle...and with working out 3 times a week for 30 minutes...i walk my son to the bus stop in the mornings, which is only 10 minutes total and obviously not very fast so im sure it doesnt burn much but do i need to add this to my exercise diary?

I would. You're still walking. And even though it doesn't burn a lot I'd still log it. I log when I clean my house. LOL Although I have four kids and limited time so I go pretty fast.0

Definitely log! I have sedentary down too since I have an office job but I really get up and move relatively often. Sometimes I log it if I end up running around for a significant amount of time.0

If it is something you do regularly and doen't really change then i think you should, just pick the right pace i,e 2mph on the record, don't forget that may be quite a bit there and back
I use this site http://www.csgnetwork.com/runracepacecalc.html and google map to roughly calculate the distance and that should give you the mph
The other thing you could do is walk at your kids pace one way and then step up the pace on the return. I record the 0.4 miles each way when I walk to the local supermarket for a bit of fresh air from work at lunchtime, admittedly i'm going a 4mph with no kids :-) but thats about 111 calories for 10 mins walking0 -
i would skip it. its in your regular routine...given the small amount of time and that it is with your son, its probably more of a stroll, anyway.0

Try turning that 10 minutes into 20. Walk him to the bus stop and then continue around the block or something. You're already out of the house. Then, there will be no doubt that you add it. Pace isn't as important as you'd think. If you walk a slow mile, you burn as many calories as you do walking a fast one. It just takes longer.0

^^This. I wouldn't log a 10 minute stroll, but I'd log if I added more to it and maybe picked up the pace a little.0 -

Thanks! i bookmarked this site....i do it monday through friday but as far as distance i have no idea because basically just walking through our parking lots. its 5 minutes there and 5 minutes back. but if i add it up for the week...that is 50 minutes total at 2 mph...which if i were to walk at 2.0 mph for 50 minutes straight i would burn 199 calories (estimate)..which is pretty significant...that is why i am confused about adding it or not.0 -
i have decided that since i do it regularly...i will count it, so i added in the 10 minute walk at 2 mph, slow pace for a calorie burn at my current weight of 38 calories. so at the end of the week thats a grand total of 190 burned.0
