Aria Scale- Anyone have it?

I have a fitbit that I love and have considered getting the Aria scale to monitor my body fat. Does anyone have this? Do you feel like its accurate on the weight side and the body fat side? Any and all info welcome!

I don't have the scale however I would imagine it's accurate should it be used correctly.

Body fat measurements on scales are not normally 100% accurate.
  • I have been using the Aria scale for about a month. I work in technology so I was very intrigued by the ability to sync your weight and % body fat over wifi. The scale looks great in the bathroom with its sleek design so no problems there at all.

I am not disappointed by the ability to sync the information automatically. However, it's not perfect. The scale seems accurate but not 100%. Also, on occasion, the scale will log a slightly different weight to the web site than what was recorded, usually about a tenth of a pound. While that's not much to sweat over, 1/10 in the wrong direction means something to me. Hopefully this is just a but that can fixed with an update.

Regarding the % body fat, this is interesting to me to see progress but I really don't have a good reference point so I don't know how accurate the scale is. I only pay attention to whether it is going down or not. I have to say, even as my weight drops, I don't see the body fat going down very quickly. This could just be bad expectations on my part to be fair.

In the end, I like the scale very much but just not sure it was worth the money. I teetered on returning it long enough to where I'm probably stuck keeping it now.

    Best of luck to you.
  • I purchased the Aria scales and returned them. They consistently read 8 pounds heavier than my old scales, AND the scales at the Dr.s office. I contacted tech support and they suggested that I locate the scales in a place where they would not be moved, and then step on the scales 5 times in a row to recalibrate them. I did that and each time I stepped on them my weight and my BMI were different... like 4 pounds and 2 points or more. So I stepped on the scales 10 times in a row. Again, this time I NEVER got the same weight twice and they still measured much heavier than my actual weight from the old scales and the Dr.s office. It also increased my BMI .10 everytime I stepped on the scales. So ten steps my BMI increased by 1 point without doing anything other than stepping on and off the scales 10 times with in a 5 minute time frame. I sent them back. I need something that I can believe in, and I can't believe in the Aria scales. Maybe once they work on them and improve the technology.... but they don't have it yet.
