Queenbee, I am so glad you came back! I got your e-mail but I wanted to touch base on the three message boards and then I'll get to replying to your e-mail.
    Your son has done AWESOME!!!!!!
I did really well a year ago, but feel off the boat... Now I am trying to find my motivation again. It's hard. It feels like a lot to bite off.
I think logging calories is the MOST important thing! I was petrified when I saw my calories, fat, carb and SODIUM totals! The one that really messed with me was the SODIUM! I have high blood pressure and I NEVER use salt, but I also never checked labels for sodium. I was SHOCKED. I was told to keep my sodium under 1900mg One of my first days I logged in one meal that contained over 2300mg in sodium and I still had snacks and 2 meals to get through! Logging is SO important!

I am doing my exercises after I get my middle child to bed. She is CRAZY tired. Then I am going to shred, do some sit-ups and push ups and a little yoga or something to get my mind centered so I can possibly get some true rest tonight. (My little guy has croupe and has been up the last few nights).
I'll change my signature to reflect my exercise after I am done with it.
I hope this will be a day one!

Thanks Dewdrop! That means a lot! I did exercise today, but last night I feel asleep with the kiddos.

I have entered my food in MFP for 11 days! I agree sleep is essential! I have lots of worries/anxiety in my life and struggle with sleep. For over a year I used Ambien, which works great but is highly addictive. My Dr. wanted to get me off it and started me on 25 mg of Seroquel. I take it about an hour before bed and sleep like a baby! I am grateful to finally have that part of the formula down. I struggle with so many things...like drinking water...but for now I am just focusing on entering my food! Love MFP

Well, I think I am going on 3 days in a row!
Changing my habits a little in regards to my computer use. So I feel like I haven't been on MFP in days when it was just this morning.
Have a goodnight and I hope everyone is doing well!
    Off to change my signature!

I begin to have ideas for the rewards . Only wonder if I can wait till the 10 - 20 - 30 days marks .

I need to get back at this, and even thought of a reward, should I succeed in setting myself on the right track:

when I've got 3 nights down, I am allowed to open the new piece of electronics I already bought

At 10 nights down, I am allowed to get another gadget that I need (and better make that before mid Feb!).

Are you guys far in the counting, or just found it as unexpectedly complicated to make it 30 days in a row, like I did? :ohwell:. Lemme know how it's going for you, I need company (and a bit of competition can't hurt )!

Sorry, I haven't been on my computer much lately. I have this HUGE freelance job that I have been trying to focus on. I exercised this morning. (I am back to day one again).
I don't know what happened to everyone else.
Is 30 days too much? That was why I thought the rewards would help. I know 30 days is a long time. I am determined that no matter how many times I fall down, I will get a 30 day stretch in by the end of the year! I hope it doesn't take all year, but I am going to try, try again.... I will post also try to post my progress or failures more often.
I know I'll get their, but bad habits are hard to break!

No, 30 days is not at all much, if we want to turn our goal into a habbit! I just did not expect it to be THIS difficult. I feel bad everytime I have to reset the counter. Which I had to do last night again!

However, I am willing to try this, harder! Here are my rewards:
3 days - I can plug in the little radio I bought
10 days - I am allowed to get another little gadget
20 days - I have a DVD in mind for that
30 days - erm... dunno, I have at least 30 days to figure wat this reward should be .

Wanda, glad you're still here. It'd be great if we got more company and stimulation, wouldn't it?

I have 2 nights down! - although I did not sleep from 11 onwards, I was in bed shortly after 11 and I want to reward myself for it, so that I gain courage that this can work :). If I'm good tonight, I'm entitled to the reward .

    Back to day one:explode:
My nails an toes are painted and it did make me feel good to get that far. I think I need to post my reward chart on the fridge (considering I walk past it a million times each day. It is part of the main area of the house).
Once I get through this I want my next goal to be bedtime and waking time.
    Well, Off to wash dishes!
Keep up the great work dewdrop!

I need to get myself together and do this! What on earth?!? To spare myself from reporting each day, I'll follow Wanda's example and change my signature each day.

My nutritionist who works at a research hospital said that recent studies are showing that a lack of sleep is a stress trigger to the body. A body in stress mode holds onto fat and stores it more easily. I sometimes struggle with sleep so I feel your pain. So, part of your weight loss includes sleep and learning to better cope with other life stresses.

I am going to try to get this board back up and running again.
My first bad habit I want to change is eating/snacking after 7:00pm
    TODAY will be day 1.

I will work on a new bad habit every 30 days.

Hey I go! I hope some other peeps join me so we can talk about our progress and cheer each other on!!

    HAVE A GREAT MFP DAY!
